This weekend was a breeze. Honestly, I am flying HIGH right now on energy alone. I had one of the most relaxing weekends that I’ve had in a while and I didn’t really do much. Friday, I headed to the gym, came home and made a simple breakfast/dinner. Watched some Twilight Zone episodes and researched random places in Ireland and Norway.
Saturday, I woke up crazy early and went to the gym. In the afternoon, Tom and I headed over to REI and got our packs for Europe. Ugh – Now I’m WAY too excited. I want to leave tomorrow. We tested out a lot of packs and I ended up going with one that is 40 liters and turns into a duffel bag. It’s very comfortable and has a crazy amount of room and storage in it. I think Tom is going to get the same one but the man version.
I mean how excited do I look here? I’m hopped up on endorphin’s and that Whole 30 tiger blood life.
Saturday night, I made a turkey meatloaf, and no joke, ate the entire thing myself. I was almost embarrassed about it actually. But it was small. I swear to God is was a small meatloaf. I, then, dropped off Tom and his friend to a bar in Lakeview like I was their mom and went to bed at a pretty early time.
The Whole 30 diet in general is just super easy now. I do have my moments where I see a cupcake and fall in love with it. But for the most part, the eating habits are now becoming very natural to me.
My last day is Friday. Whole 25 basically. I’m very nervous about it. My plan is to drink gluten free drinks and to stay pretty close to my paleo diet. I think this may be something I would like to do full time although who knows how I will feel in a week.
